Ty has a B.A. in Psychology and worked as a research associate in the Psychiatry Department at LSU Health Sciences Center before becoming a homeschooling mom. Additionally, I’m Ty’s a wife, entrepreneur and mother of five with nearly 10 years of homeschool experience. After unsuccessfully searching for a program that provided the curriculum, community and connection desired, with the help of an incredible team she founded Young Scholars. 
Matt is a former Middle School Math teacher with a stellar record for having the most improved Math students in the school. After 3 years of teaching, he left the classroom for a job in Information Systems and eventually became a homeschooling dad over seven years ago. A dedicated husband and father of three, Matt enjoys sharing his passion for education, particularly Math. Matt is the primary curriculum developer and instructor.
